In early September, the University of Victoria’s business program kickstarts they’re new cohort with an annual Work Place Skills conference. It gives the business undergrads a chance to network, and attend workshops to equip them with what classrooms don’t teach. The students had a good laugh when I arrived 45 minutes late to my own workshop. Despite this, I gave them snippets of advice for the following years to come.
- Work with engineers, can’t build without them
- Focus on opportunities with market demand
- Have a MVP and don’t stick to plan A, it will change
